SE PARTE DE 2-MERCAPTANOETANOL O 3-MERCAOTANOPROPANOL EN SOLUCION CON AGUA Y CON UNA CANTIDAD DE ESTEQUIOMETRICA DE H2O2 EN UNA VASIJA DE REACCION, DE FORMA QUE SE MANTENGA EL PH ENTRE 7 Y 9. LA TEMPERATURA SE ESTABLECE POR ENCIMA DEL PUNTO DE CONGELACION DE LA MEZCLA Y POR DEBAJO DE LOS 20 C. A CONTINUACION SE FORMA UN DIHIDROXI-DISULFURO PURO, Y EN UNA SEGUNDA ETAPA SE AÑADE UNA CANTIDAD TAL DE AZUFRE A LA VASIJA COMO PARA FORMAR DISULFURO-TRISULFURO.
