Abstract

The arrangement transmits the power generated by a wind-driven impeller (2) to a user point (4). It comprises a hydraulic pump (8) which is driven by the impeller and produces a fluid flow to a hydraulic motor (9) at the user point. The pump and motor are pref. connected (11,12) in a closed circuit (13). The connecting lines (11,12) pref. contain a rotatable coupling (14) to permit rotation of the windmill head (6). The circuit may contain an arrangement (16) to maintain a pre-determined pressure in the return line (12) comprising an impeller-driven pump (17) connected with this line and a pressure control valve (21).
