Abstract
To obtain a relay-type comparator with signal protection and having only one relay per bit, the relay winding is connected between two transistors (2, 3) and in series with their emitter-collector path, the base of which transistors is in each case driven by one of two mutually independent control units (4, 5). Each control unit contains monitoring means which are connected via test lines (6, 7) to the output of the transistor (3, 2) controlled by the in each case other control unit and monitor their operation.
