LA REDUCCION SE REALIZA UTILIZANDO HIDROCARBUROS ALIFATICOS SATURADOS, QUE TIENEN DE 1 A 10 ATOMOS DE CARBONO; ETILENO; PROPILENO; HIDROCARBUROS CICLOALIFATICOS, QUE TIENEN DE 4 A 12 ATOMOS DE CARBONO; BENCENO; TOLUENO, ETILBENCENO, ISOPROPILBENCENO; PARAXILENO O NAFTALENO COMO AGENTES REDUCTORES. LA REDUCCION SE REALIZA EN PRESENCIA DE 0,05 A 4 MOLES DE AGUA POR CADA MOL DE NITROBENCENO Y DE UN GAS INERTE, QUE PUEDE SER DIOXIDO DE CARBONO, NITROGENO O UN GAS NOBLE.
