LA VALVULA DE DOBLE ASIENTO ESTA FORMADA POR DOS DISCOS DE VALVULA (8, 3) Y DOS ASIENTOS DE VALVULA (5, 11). LOS DOS DISCOS DE LA VALVULA ESTAN FIJADOS SOBRE UN PISTON CONSTITUIDO POR DOS PARTES IDENTICAS (1, 7) CON FORMA DE HORQUILLA EN DOS DE SUS EXTREMOS QUE SE ENCUENTRAN ORIENTADOS EL UNO HACIA EL OTRO, DICHAS HORQUILLAS ESTAN PROVISTAS EN SUS EXTREMOS LIBRES DE RESALTOS ORIENTADOS HACIA EL INTERIOR, DE TAL FORMA QUE SU DISTANCIA AUMENTA HACIA EL EXTREMO EXTERIOR. EL PISTON (1, 7) MANTIENE CERRADA A LA VALVULA (11, 3) AL ABRIRSE LA VALVULA (5, 8) PERMITIENDO DE ESTE MODO LA CIRCULACION DE UN ELEMENTO A TRAVES DE LA VALVULA (5, 8).
