PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DIRECTA DE ALDEHIDO BETAMETILTIOPROPIONICO POR REACCION DE METILMERCAPTANO Y DE UNA MEZCLA GASEOSA QUE CONTIENE ACROLEINA, RESULTANTE DE LA OXIDACION CATALITICA DEL PROPILENO POR EL AIRE, EN PRESENCIA DE AGUA. ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO SE REALIZA EN TRES ETAPAS: EN LA PRIMERA SE ELIMINA EL ACIDO ACRILICO CONTENIDO EN LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA BRUTA QUE SALE DE LA REACCION DE OXIDACION CATALITICA DEL PROPILENO CON ABSORCION DE LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA EN AGUA O EN UN DISOLVENTE. EN LA SEGUNDA ETAPA SE ELIMINA EL AGUA QUE LLEVA EL FLUJO GASEOSO POR CONDENSACION. EN LA TERCERA Y ULTIMA ETAPA SE HACE REACCIONAR LA MEZCLA GASEOSA CON METILMERCAPTANO, CON LO CUAL SE FORMA EL ALDEHIDO BETAMETILTIOPROPIONICO. LA CONDENSACION TIENE LUGAR A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 70 Y 130GC. A
