Abstract

The nozzle injects liq. fuel into the combustion chamber of an IC engine. It has a alve movable in a bore and to which fuel is delivered under pressure, the valve head being spring-loaded against a seat at one end of the bore, off which it is lifted by fuel pressure. The spring is formed by an elastic tension wire (18) attached at opposite ends to the valve (15) and to a reaction member (19). The bore can be formed in the nozzle body, the reaction member being at the opposite end of the bore to the valve.
