Abstract

A device forming a fluid collecting header chamber 81 and an expansion compensation chamber 82 for a heat exchanger 21 such as a vehicle engine radiator, comprises a one-piece casing 39 (e.g. of moulded plastics material) formed at one end thereof with an opening assembled in use to the heat exchanger 21, a wall 72 in said casing, separating the chambers 81 and 82 from each other, being comprised of a plate (in particular a resilient plate) of spring steel or plastics material) which can be introduced into the casing via said opening, and the casing having means such as projections 53, 57, 63, 64, adapted to positively locate the plate after its introduction into the casing.
