Abstract

Un método para preparar alcohol furfurílico por medio de hidrogenación de furfular sobre un catalizador de cromito de cobre activado con óxidos de metales alcalino-terrenos por calentamiento y bajo una presión superior a la atmosférica, caracterizado porque se emplea una mezcla del catalizador y productos cerámicos que se dispone en cuatro capas en una relación entre el catalizador y los productos cerámicos de 1:2 en el primer lecho; 1:2 en el segundo lecho, 2:1 en el tercer lecho y 2,5:1 en el cuarto lecho en la dirección del movimiento de la mezcla de hidrógeno y furfural; el procedimiento de hidrogenación se efectúa con la elevación de la temperatura de 50 a 140ºC bajo una presión de 60 a 65 atmósferas, seguido por la introducción de monometanolamina o hidracina hidratada en el producto catalizado resultante.
