Abstract
Un método mejorado para preparar espumas rígidas de poliuretano mediante reacción de un poliol que contiene por lo menos 3 átomos de hidrógeno activos, con un isocianato polifuncional, en presencia de un catalizador de gelificación, un agente de hinchamiento y un agente tensioactivo que contiene silicio, en donde la mejora comprende emplear como catalizador de gelificación, una composición que consiste esencialmente en cantidades catalíticamente eficaces de un carboxilato de antimonio, un carboxilato de potasio y un carboxilato de zinc, en los que las porciones hidrocarbilo de los carboxilatos contienen de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono, y en los que cada uno de dichos carboxilatos de antimonio y de potasio constituye entre el 10 y el 40% en peso de dicha composición, y el carboxilato de zinc constituye el restante 20 a 80% en peso.
