Abstract

1. Procedimiento para proteger materiales orgánicos o inorgánicos contra el ataque de microorganismos, en especial contra la putrefacción originada por hongos y bacterias y, en particular, contra la acción de microorganismos de pastas de papel y de celulosa de la industria papelera, de madera, viruta o aserrin de madera y de fibras textiles naturales, caracterizado porque los citados materiales se tratan a temperatura comprendida entre 10º y 100ºC, preferentemente a la temperatura ambiente, con un medio que comprende en dispersión 0,1 a 50 g/litro de una materia activa seleccionada entre 3,5-dibromo-4-clorofenol, 3,5-dibromo-4-fluorofenol ó 3,5-dicloro-4-bromofenol o composiciones mixtas de ellos, realizándose el tratamiento en forma tal que en los substratos a proteger se fija una dosis de las citadas materias activas comprendida entre 100 y 10.000 ppm, preferentemente de 200 a 5.000 ppm, y, en particular, en el caso de la madera, del orden de 0,1 a 10 g/m2.
