Abstract

Un método de fabricar un proyectil de punta hueca totalmente encamisado, para armas pequeñas. La solicitud protege un proyectil diseñado especialmente, pero no exclusivamente, para una pistola automática que proporciona una máxima transferencia de energía con una penetración óptima en el blanco. Esto se consigue, en general, combinado una bala de punta hueca y una camisa que tiene características adecuadas de dureza y resistencia mecánica. Más en particular, el inventor ha descubierto que una camisa formada de un material que tenga una dureza comprendida entre aproximadamente 45 y aproximadamente 60, medida por el ensayo de dureza Rockwell R- 15T, y una resistencia a la cizalladura comprendida entre aproximadamente 840 y aproximadamente 1680 kg/cm2, proporcionará la protección necesaria frente a la deformación para asegurar una alimentación fiable en un arma automática, no impidiendo al propio tiempo la expansión o formación de seta del proyectil al producirse el impacto.
