Abstract
Un procedimiento de oxihidrocloración no contaminante, en el que se hacen reaccionar gas clorhídrico, aire u oxígeno, etileno y/o un derivado clorado de estileno, para obtener un efluente que contiene derivados clorado de etileno, y que se caracteriza por a) separar del efluente los derivados clorados de etileno formados en el curso de la reacción de oxihidrocloración, conteniendo el efluente residual esencialmente oxígeno, nitrógeno, óxido de carbono, gas carbónico, etileno que no ha reaccionado, dicloro-1,2-etano, y al menos un hidrocarburo clorado del grupo constituido por cloroformo, tetracloruro de carbono, cloruro de etilo, dicloro-1,1-etano, tricloro-1,1,1- y 1,1,2- etano, tetracloro-1,1,2,2- y 1,1,1,2-etano, cloruro de vinilo, dicloro 1,1- y 1,2-etileno, tricloroetileno, perclorcetileno y cloral; b) añadir eventualmente un gas diluyente al efluente residual; c) precalentar el efluente a una temperatura comprendida entre 250 y 400ºC; d) enviar este efluente a una zona de reacción adabática que contiene un catalizador de oxidación constituido por platino y/o iridio depositado(s) sobre un soporte de alúmina de estructura cristalográfica eta, lo que conduce después de la oxidación a una mezcla de gas que comprende esencialmente gas carbónico, ácido clorhídrico, vapor de agua, oxígeno y nitrógeno; e)emplear total o parcialmente las calorías desprendidas en la oxidación para precalentar, según la etapa c), y con ayuda de un cambiador de calor, el efluente procedente de la etapa a); f) eliminar por lavado el ácido clorhídrico formado en el curso de la etapa de oxidación antes de eliminar el efluente a la atmósfera o de emplearlo como fuente de gas inerte.
