Abstract

Un procedimiento mejorado para sinterizar piezas metálicas en polvo, que comprende: (a) hacer pasar las piezas por un horno adaptado para este fin desde su extremo aguas arriba hasta su extremo aguas abajo, teniendo dicho horno dos zonas sucesivas, una zona aguas arriba, que se mantiene a una temperatura en el intervalo de aproximadamente 427ºC a aproximadamente 1204ºC y una zona de enfriamiento, teniendo además dicho horno una atmósfera que comprende monóxido de carbono, hidrógeno, dióxido de carbono, agua y nitrógeno distribuido por todas las zonas; (b) permitir que las piezas permanezcan en la zona aguas arriba durante un periodo de tiempo suficiente para originar la sinterización; y (c) separar del horno las piezas sinterizadas, comprendiendo la mejora.
