Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar un nuevo derivado de piridina. El nuevo compuesto preparado según la presente invención es la 1,3-dihidro-3-(3'',4'',5''-trimetoxiestiril)-6-metil-7-hidroxifuro-(3,4,c)-piridina, que tiene la fórmula I. La fórmula empírica del compuesto anterior es C19H21NO5, y su peso molecular es 343. Tiene interés por su actividad en el campo de la protección del riñón y la diuresis. Ha mostrado baja toxicidad: por vía oral, la DL 50 en ratones es mayor que 2,4 g/kg. La invención proporciona un procedimiento para preparar el compuesto anterior, que comprende reducir con borohidruro sódico la cetona II al alcohol secundario correspondiente (esquema de reacción 5), seguido por tratamiento del producto con una solución alcohólica de ácidos fórmico y clorhídrico, para romper el puente de isopropilideno (esquema de reacción 6), e inducir una condensación interna para producir el producto de la invención.
