Abstract

A vessel having a longitudinal hull, the bottom part of which comprises at least two longitudinal spaced hull parts 3 and at least two transverse spaced hull parts 5 and 6, which hull parts define at least one space 4 under the vessel. Means including nozzles 9 are provided for forcing air into said at least one space 4 and maintaining it in said space under a pressure not so high as to permit air to escape past the hull parts.
