Abstract
Método para establecer una concentración que inhibe la corrosión de hierro y acero por dióxido de carbono, y opcionalmente por pequeñas cantidades de sulfuro de hidrógeno, en líquidos de acondicionamiento de gases, caracterizado por las operaciones de preparar una sal de piridinio cuaternario haciendo reaccionar una mezcla de un compuesto de piridina con halogenuro de alcohilo o halogenuro de bencilo en exceso, bajo calentamiento a 90ºC durante dos horas, enfriando la mezcla de reacción y recuperando la sal cuaternaria en forma de un precipitado sólido o líquido viscoso; formular una concentración inhibidora mezclando una parte en peso de la sal de piridinio cuaternario obtenida con (1) 0,001-10 partes de un tiocompuesto que es un tiocianato soluble en agua, un sulfuro soluble en agua, o una tiomida orgánica, ó (2) 0,01-10 partes de una alcohilen-poliamina inferior, una polialcohilen-poliamina correspondiente, o una mezcla de ellas, en las que las unidades de alcohileno contienen 2-3 átomosde carbono; y añadir la concentración inhibidora al líquido de acondicionamiento de gases, con lo que la solución de tratamiento de gases resultante queda sustancialmente inhibida contra la inducción de corrosión en la unidad de tratamiento de gases.
