Abstract
Building elements are made from an open pored expanded mineral and >=1 hydraulic binders, by wetting the mineral with the total quantity of the water to be used and mixing it well before adding the binder(s) in the dry state, then homogenising, and finally moulded the slightly wet mass by compression in a press. The process is quicker than other mixing methods and produces building elements with excellent physical and mechanical properties.
