Procedimiento para recuperar por separado NH3 sustancialmente puro y CO2 sustancialmente puro de una composición que comprende NH3 y CO2, cuyo procedimiento comprende tratar dicha composición secuencialmente a través de tres zonas de separación de las cuales la zona de separación de NH3 se hace trabajar de modo que se obtenga una fase gaseosa de NH3 sustancialmente puro y una fase líquida que hierve a temperatura constante y que contiene NH3, CO2 y agua, cuya fase líquida se hace pasar a la zona de separación de CO2, zona que es hecha trabajar de modo que se obtenga una fase gaseosa de CO2 sustancialmente puro y una fase líquida residual que hierve a temperatura constante y que contiene NH3, CO2 y agua, cuya fase líquida residual se hace pasar a una zona de desorción en donde sustancialmente todo el NH3, el CO2 y parte del agua son retirados en forma de una fase gaseosa y son alimentados al menos parcialmente a la zona de separación de NH3.
