Procedure for obtaining optically active azabicyclohexanes, of formula: ** (Formula 01) ** in which the phenyl moiety is unsubstituted or mono- or di-substituted by the group comprising halogen, C1-C5 alkyl chain straight or mono-branched, C1-C6 alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, nitro, amino, acetamido and hydroxy, and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-C8 straight chain alkyl and half of the formula CnH2nR1, where n is an integer from 1 to 3 and R1 is chosen from the group consisting of phenyl and p-fluorbenzyl, characterized in that it comprises reacting a compound of the formula: ** (Formula 02) ** in which the phenyl moiety is unsubstituted or mono - or di- substituted by the group comprising halogen, straight-chain or mono-branched C1-C5-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, nitro, amino, acetamido and hydroxy, X is chosen from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-alkyl -C8 straight-chain and one-half of formula CnH2nR1, where n is an integer ro between 1 and 3 and R1 is selected from the group consisting of phenyl and p-fluorbenzyl; and R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and oxygen, provided that at least one R must be oxygen, with a hydride reducing agent in an inert aprotic solvent at a temperature of from about -70ºC to about 125ºC.
