Abstract
Un procedimiento perfeccionado para conectar o endurecer gránulos (pellets) de mineral de hierro crudo oxidable en un horno de tostación de rejilla, comprendiendo el procedimiento hacer pasar el rejilla con un lecho de pellets sobre la misma a lo largo de un trayecto horizontal a través del horno para secar y precalentar los pellets y luego introducir los pellets en el horno para sufrir calentamiento y endurecimiento adicionales, todo por contacto con gases calientes, pasando dicha rejilla a través de una zona de precalentamiento en la cual la temperatura promedio de los pellets en el lecho está dentro del margen de aproximadamente 590ºC a aproximadamente 1200ºC y en cuya zona el flujo de gases es en dirección n descendente hacia el lecho de los pellets sobre la rejilla.
