Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en ruedas neumáticas para vehículos de motor, cuyas cubiertas son del tipo radial y encintado, donde los talones de la cubierta, sujetos a la llanta de la rueda de una forma prácticamente firme, se conectan con la banda de rodadura correspondiente por la cual queda cubierta una banda perimétrica de contención, o en cualquier caso con la parte en la cual se establece de una forma transitoria la zona interfacial entre la cubierta y el terreno, a través de paredes laterales que aguantan esfuerzos de tracción pero que se pueden deformar libremente por flexión, con una modificación de la curva catenaria definida por su sección radial, caracterizados porque con las paredes laterales se asocian componentes anulares que refrenan la anchura del arco, donde se puede producir el cambio de curvatura, al menos en una zona intermedia que se extiende entre el círculo definido por el límite exterior de los componentes anulares y el círculo definido por el borde correspondiente de la banda de rodadura, subdividiendo por lo tanto las paredes laterales en una parte en la cual se refrena o restringe la curvatura y una parte en la cual la pared lateral adopta una curvatura local izada con una radio mucho menor que el del arco de la misma cubierta no sometida a carga, obteniéndose de este modo una reducción material de deflexión por igualdad de anchura de la sección radial, presión de inflación y carga, con respecto de la deflexión de una cubierta sin paredes laterales refrenadas o restringidas.
