Abstract

1442147 Pneumatic tyres CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 18 Dec 1973 [23 Dec 1972] 58505/73 Heading B7C A pneumatic tyre, e.g. formed by injection moulding rubber or plastics and containing no carcass reinforcing plies, comprises side walls each undulating in the circumferential direction. The amplitude of each undulating side wall decreases in the radially outward direction. The side walls are thicker at 11 then at 12. Tread portion 6 is adhesively secured to a tread support portion 4 which may modulate circumferentially of the tyre (Fig. 3, not shown). Alternatively the radially outer surface of the portion undulates and the radiially inner surface is flat (Fig. 4, not shown or a slightly arcuate transversely of the tyre. The portion 4 may have filaments or fibres randomly distributed therein.
