Abstract

Método para fabricar un pistón destinado a un motor de combustión interna, que consiste en formar mediante fundición un cuerpo de pistón de un primer metal que tiene una pared cilíndrica y en el que se incorpora durante la colada un elemento de inserción de refuerzo hecho de un segundo metal, incluyendo el elemento de inserción una porción anular externa situada en la pared o en punto adyacente al emplazamiento del surco del anillo de estanqueidad, estando dicho método caracterizado porque incluye las operaciones que consisten en formar en este emplazamiento o en un punto adyacente al mismo una cavidad anular parcialmente en la pared y parcialmente en la porción anular del elemento de inserción para descubrir unas zonas de los primero y segundo metales yuxtapuestas, y pulverizar metal y/o cerametal sobre las zonas descubiertas de los primero y segundo metales para formar una banda de metal y/o cerametal unida a las zonas yuxtapuestas.
