Abstract

Procedimiento para la fabricación de ruedas de plástico reforzado con fibras de vidrio, caracterizado porque se cortan las fibras dandoles una longitud del orden de 3,18 a 38,10 mm, mezclándose a continuación con la materia plástica en una proporción en peso comprendida entre el 35 y el 75% introduciéndose dicha masa en un molde previamente calentado, cuya cavidad una vez cerrado corresponde al conjunto disco-llanta de la rueda, procurando que las fibras presentan una orientación predominantemente en sentido axial, tras lo cual se cierra el molde, aplicando presión de moldeo durante el tiempo que dura el ciclo de moldeo.
