Abstract

Procedimiento para el tratamiento de polvos residuales suspendidos en el aire, contaminantes del medio ambiente, que contienen dióxido de silicio, procedentes e la preparación de silicio metálico y de aleaciones de silicio, para obtener ácidos silícicos o silicatos, caracterizado por la combinación de las siguientes etapas de procedimiento, conocidas de por sí: I. disolución del polvo suspendido en soluciones de hidróxidos de metales alcalinos, con formación de soluciones de silicatos de metales alcalinos con un módulo elevado (Si02 : Me1 20), a temperaturas en el intervalo de desde 60 hasta 110ºC; II. purificación de las soluciones de silicatos de metales alcalinos respecto de componentes orgánicos, por tratamiento con carbón activo y/o con agentes oxidantes, y separación del residuo no diagregable respecto de la solución; III. reacción de la solución de silicatos de metales alcalinos con ácidos inorgánicos y orgánicos y/o con sales de aluminio, magnesio y calcio a temperaturas en el intervalo desde aproximadamente 60 hasta 110ºC, en el intervalo de pH desde aproximadamente 1 hasta 12, seguida por filtración, lavado y secado de la pasta de torta de filtración, y desmenuzamiento del granulado de la torta de filtración para la obtención de ácidos silícicos precipitados y de silicatos puros, amorfos, finamente divididos, con un grado de blancura según Degen en el intervalo desde 90 hasta 95%, y valores de superficie específica según BET en el intervalo desde 30 hasta 800m2/g.
