Abstract
Improvements introduced in a method to build a ballast-free railroad, comprising a concrete construction that forms part of the substructure and has some receiving cavities of support blocks in concrete, to whose upper surfaces the rails are fixed by means of fixing, an elastic layer being placed, particularly a layer including closed gas cells, between the lower faces and the walls of the blocks, on the one hand, and the walls of the cavities, on the other hand, said improvements being characterized because during the forming the support blocks, sheets of elastic material intended to form the elastic layer are inserted into the casting mold; because these sheets are coated on the interior surfaces with a layer of liquid, fragile synthetic resin, in particular epoxy resin, and because the concrete is emptied into the mold while the synthetic resin is still in the liquid state.
