Abstract
Procedimiento para preparar una composición poliamídica ignifuga, reforzada y granulada, dotada de buena resistencia a la carbonización cuando se somete a descarga eléctrica; caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: (a) obtener una poliamida normalmente inflamable, en estado fundido; (b) mezclar la misma con 15 a 55% de un agente reforzante, con 5 a 30% de un ignifugo halogenado que contiene al menos 20% en peso, del ignifugo, de halógeno, con 0,05 a 1,5% de un óxido elegido entre óxido de antimonio, óxido de zinc, óxido de plomo, óxido ferroso, óxido ferrico, óxido estannoso, óxido estánnico, y óxido de cadmio o una mezcla de dichos óxidos, y con 5 a 30% en peso de un borato de zinc hidratado, bajo condiciones de procesado tales que el borato de zinc es térmicamente estable; (c) extruir la mezcla intima resultante en forma de un cordón; y; (d) cortar el cordón en gránulos.
