Abstract

Un procedimiento para presulfurar catalizadores de hidrodesulfuración, que consiste esencialmente en poner en contacto inicialmente un catalizador que comprende componentes de hidrogenación del grupo VI-B y del grupo VIII sobre un soporte de óxido refractario con un hidrocarburo líquido que contiene azufre en una atmósfera sustancialmente exenta de oxígeno y exenta de hidrógeno y a una presión comprendida dentro del intervalo de la presión atmosférica hasta 28,1 kg/cm2 manométricos y a una temperatura comprendida dentro del intervalo de 93 a 371ºC, mantener el contacto entre dicho catalizador y dicho hidrocarburo líquido que contiene azufre hasta que la cantidad total de azufre contenida en dicho hidrocarburo puesta en contacto con dicho catalizador está comprendida dentro del intervalo de 200 a 1.400 por ciento en peso de la cantidad de azufre requerida para sulfurar completamente los metales a la temperatura y presión de contacto, y después de ello poner en contacto dicho catalizador conuna alimentación hidrocarburada que contiene azufre en condiciones de hidrodesulfuración.
