Abstract
Método de preparar medicamenteos basados en ácido cenodeoxicóclico y similares, tales como sus derivados, siendo dichos medicamentos más seguros que hasta ahora gracias a la inclusión en el medicamento de una cantidad adecuada de ácido hiodeoxicólico (en adelante HDCA), siendo el medicamento del género que comprende A) un compuesto de la fórmula **(Fórmula)** en la cual R es -OX, -NHCH2COOX o -NHCH2CH2SO3X, siendo X hidrógeno o un catión que forma una sal no tóxica farmacéuticamente aceptable, B) HDCA y C) un vehículo farmacéuticamente aceptable, caracterizado por proceder a la purificación de bilis de cerdo por medio de las etapas de 1) extraer los ácidos biliares de la bilis de cerdo con metanol caliente, 2) precipitar los ácidos biliares del metanol por medio de la formación de las sales de bario, 3) disolver las sales de bario de los ácidos biliares, precipitadas, en etanol caliente, 4) tratar la disolución etanólica caliente de sales de bario con sulfato de zinc para formar los ácidosbiliares libres y eliminar por filtración el bario precipitado, 5) extraer los ácidos biliares con cloruro sódico y acetato de etilo ajustados a pH 5,5 con ácido clorhídrico y 6) eliminar el acetato de etilo disolvente y recuperar los ácidos biliares con una mayor concentración de HDCA.
