Abstract
Un método para la producción de un vidrio fotocrómico de alúminofosfato que tiene cristales de haluro de plata dispersados por toda su masa que comprende, en porcentajes en peso, las siguientes componentes no fotocrómicos: **(Tabla)** donde R2O representa uno o más de entre Na2O, K2O y Li2O, siendo el contenido máximo de Li2O del 5 %, la cantidad de SiO2 no menor del 16 % cuando el contenido de B2O3 es menor de 8 %; y opcionalmente, uno o más e los siguientes componentes, expresados en porcentajes en peso: R''O 1 a 21 %, en donde R''O representa por lo menos uno entre MgO, CaO, SrO y BaO, dentro de los siguientes límites individuales: -MgO :O a 4 % en peso, CaO : O a 6,5 % en peso, SrO : O a 10 % en peso y BaO : 0 a 21 % en peso.
