Abstract
Un método y su correspondiente dispositivo para encender una carga de mezcla aire-combustible en un motor, caracterizado dicho método porque comprende las fases de: introducir una carga de mezcla aire-combustible en una zona de combustión del motor, establecer una descarga por efecto corona entre los electrodos de una primera bujía de encendido para efectuar una estratificación electrostática de la carga de mezcla aire-combustible en una porción rica adyacente a la primera bujía de encendido y una porción pobre espaciada de la primera bujía de encendido, establecer una chispa entre los electrodos de una segunda bujía de encendido dispuesta en posición adyacente a la primera bujía de encendido, para efectuar la ignición de la porción rica de la carga, y a continuación establecer una descarga de chispa entre los mismos electrodos de la primera bujía de encendido utilizados en el establecimiento de la descarga por efecto corona para promover la ignición de la porción relativamente pobre de lacarga.
