Abstract

There is described the preparation of novel substituted benzoylacrylanilides of the formula I, in which the substituents A and B have the meanings given in Claim 1. The said compounds are prepared by reacting compounds of the formula II with a halogenating agent to give a corresponding benzoylacryloyl halide of the formula III and then reacting this with compounds of the formula H2NB. The benzoylacrylanilides obtained are useful agents for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in poultry, and they are in general used as additives to the feed or drinking water.
