Abstract
A method for producing a copy of an original document comprising the steps of (a) producing a latent electrostatic image on a surface (b) triboelectrifying tack particles, said tack particles comprising a colorant dispersed in an insulating resin, said colorant comprising 5 to 20% by weight of a carbon black having a surface area of 275 to 800 m2/g, a carbon black oxygen content of 3 to 10%, a carbon black structure of 70 to 250 cc/100 gr DBP and a particle size of 5 to 75 mμ, c) contacting said triboelectric turning particles with said surface impressed by the latent electrostatic image, thus placing said turning particles on said image configuration surface and d) transferring said turning particles to a second surface in the image configuration corresponding to said original document.
