Abstract
2-Aminobenzylamines of the formula (I) < IMAGE > in which Hal denotes a bromine or chlorine atom R1 denotes a hydrogen or bromine atom R2 denotes a cyclohexyl, hydroxycyclohexyl or morpholinocarbonylmethyl radical and R3 denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, are prepared in excellent yields with the aid of a novel process. This process starts from novel compounds of the formula (II) < IMAGE > in which R4 denotes a methyl or phenyl group, which are reacted with an amine of the formula (III) < IMAGE > The compounds of the formula (I) and their physiologically tolerable salts with inorganic or organic acids are distinguished by secretolytic and/or antitussive actions.
