Abstract
Procedimiento en que se usa una resina de intercambio catiónico sulfonada, bajo condiciones susceptibles de provocar la degradación térmica o la hidrólisis de una resina de intercambio catiónico sulfonada de estireno/divinilbenceno, caracterizado porque se usa como resina de intercambio catiónico una resina de intercambio catiónico macrorreticular con enlaces transversales que tiene por lo menos un grupo funcional de la fórmula**fórmula** en la cual X representa uno o más de los siguientes grupos estabilizadores del anillo: Cl, Br,I y F, y en la cual M+ además de su uso como catalizador, las resinas de la invención pueden usarse, especialmente en la forma salina, en procesos de intercambio catiónico en general, es decir, en el tratamiento de líquidos, para eliminar cationes de los mismos, o intercambiar cationes con los mismos.
