Abstract
Procedure for the recovery of aromatic polyketones and aromatic polysulfones from polymerization media, produced by boron trifluoride catalyzed condensation polymerization in hydrogen fluoride; characterized in that it comprises atomizing a polymer solution comprising liquid sulfur dioxide in a substantial proportion with respect to the hydrogen fluoride contained therein; volatilize at least part of the boron trifluoride, hydrogen fluoride, and sulfur dioxide from the resulting droplets; and recovering the polymer from said media.
