Abstract
A decoding system for a color television receiver adapted for a chrominance signal component of a color television signal transmitted in accordance with a phase reversal system on successive lines, said encoding system including a circuit device that it includes a delay device to delay said chrominance signal component for substantially one line period and a switching device that serves to change the state of each chrominance period, each circuit device producing a modified chrominance signal composed of the components of the delayed and non-delayed chrominance signal arranged in sequence alternately each line period, and a demodulator device to demodulate said modified chrominance signal with a reference sub-carrier signal of a predetermined phase, characterized in that a control is connected to said switching device to control it so that it remains in a predetermined state during each color impulse suppression period, at least in the final portion of each of them, of the component of the chrominance signal, and to begin with to change its state to another predetermined state after the color pulse suppression period, whereby said modified chrominance signal is applied to said demodulator with the proper phase relationship to said reference sub-carrier signal.
