Abstract
Procedure for manufacturing welding material wires, particularly steel welding to be used at low temperatures, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) preparing, melting and cooling the mass of alloy components to form a billet, the melting being carried out, in particular, by means of a high-frequency induction vacuum melting furnace; b) remelting the billet to reduce the segregation of the constituent elements and to eliminate gases; c) re-cooling the melt to form a billet, which is forged; d) preparing a bare wire by rolling, at approximately 1300-1400ºC; e) heat treating said wire in solution and then stretching it, acting in stage a) and in the subsequent ones so that the alloy comprises 5% to 30% molybdenum, maximum 14% tungsten and the rest of nickel.
