Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of a cysteine and isotlocyanate cleavable dithiocarbonic acid ester of formula I **(See formula)** in which R stands for an optionally substituted aliphatic or aromatic radical, characterized in that an aqueous solution of cysteine with equimolar dose of an alcoholic solution of isothiocyanate is mixed under certain agitation and under neutral reaction conditions, the mixture is left to stand at room temperature for 2 to 3 days with occasional stirring and then isolates the precipitated dithiocarbamic acid ester.
