Abstract
A method of winding a magnetic deflection coil, comprising the steps of: transporting a tension wire along a slot, from among a plurality of them, into a core assembly; hooking said wire around one of a plurality of hook members of a crown or end cap attached to said core assembly; rotating said assembly so that it describes an angle comprising an integer number of grooves of said core assembly; hooking said strand in tension around another hook of said plurality of hook members, reversing the direction of said strand in tension; conveying said wire in tension, in an axial direction, along another of the grooves of said plurality, in said core assembly; hooking said thread in tension around a further hook, of said plurality of hook members; repeating the previous steps a plurality of times going through the first pair of grooves and the pairs of grooves that successively flank it, until achieving the desired number of turns in the winding; and repeating all of the above steps for each winding, until the coil windings have been wound.
