Procedure for obtaining 4-amino-quinazoline derivatives of formula I, **(See formula)** Wherein each of Y, Y1 and Y2, which may be the same or different, means an alkoxy radical of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and each of R and R1 means a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a radical selected from the group consisting of a) -CH2 - (- CH2) n-0N02, b) (see formula), and c) -CH2 (-CH2) zN = [-CH2 (-CH2) z-ONO2] 2, where R2 means a hydrogen atom or a radical - (CH2) m-CH3 or - (CH2) y-ONO2, n means 1 to 6, m means 0 to 4, and means 1 to 4, and z means 1 to 4, provided that (i) at least one nitrate group is present and no more of two nitrate groups; (ii) one of the symbols R and R1 means a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical when the other symbol means a radical defined in section b) above; (iii) in any radical defined in section b) above that is present, only one substituent R2 has a meaning other than hydrogen; (iv) the sum of n and m does not exceed 6, and (v) the sum of n and y does not exceed 7, or R and R1, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bound, signify a radical **(See formula)** wherein z has the meaning indicated above, characterized in that a corresponding hydroxy compound of formula II is nitrated, **(See formula)** where Y, Y1 and Y2 have the meanings indicated above, and R3 and R4 have the same meanings as R and R1, respectively, defined above, except that each -ONO2 group in R and R1 is replaced by a hydroxy group, preferably with nitric acid in the presence of a carboxylic acid anhydrous and preferably at a temperature of -10º to + 50ºC, more preferably of + 5º to + 20ºC.
