Abstract
The steering assembly with hydraulic servo-assistance for a motor vehicle with articulated linkage is designed to prevent pendulum movement caused by irregularities in the road and thereby improves the stability of motion. - Two pressurising valves connect a pressure medium control valve to two pressure chambers, one for each servomotor. Each pressurising valve comprises an overpressure valve (7' or 8') and a non-return valve (32 or 52). These are positioned so that the non-return valve located in the flow direction opens when the over-pressure valve is closed while the over-pressure valve (8' or 7') in the return direction opens when the non-return valve (52 or 32) is closed as soon as the supply pressure is greater than a prestressing pressure held by the over-pressure valves and existing constantly in the pressure chambers of the servomotors.
