Abstract

A device responsive to liquid flow comprises stepped cylindrical ducts 2 within a block of insulating material, each containing an electrically conductive float 3 and part surfaces of conductive rods 4 passing through the block, one either side of the ducts. Absence of a flow of liquid through a duct e.g. lubrication failure at an engine bearing, causes the float member to bridge the shaped surfaces of the rods within the duct, thus completing an alarm circuit connected to the rods. The block 1 may be of a transparent synthetic resin material.
