Abstract

Novel 2-amino- or 2-hydrazino-azacyclotridecenes of the formula where R is (a) a C 1-16 alkyl radical optionally substituted by C 1-4 alkoxy, C 1-4 alkylthio, halo, amino, C 1-4 alkylamino or C 3-12 cycloalkylamino radicals, (b) a C 3-12 cycloalkyl, C 1-16 alkylamino or mononuclear arylamino radical, or (c) a phenylalkyl radical optionally substituted by C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or halo radicals, or salts thereof, are obtained by reacting azacyclotridecan-2-one with triethyloxonium borotetrafluoride and reacting the 2-ethoxyazacyclotridecene-(2) with appropriate amines or hydrazines (R-NH 2 ), and, if desired, reacting the products with acids to form the corresponding salts. Antifungal compositions comprise the above 2-amino or 2-hydrazino-azacyclotridecenes or their salts with agriculturally acceptable acids.
