Abstract

Aluminium electrode foil having an enlarged effective surface is produced by a method including electrolytically etching hard aluminium foil. The foil may then be subjected to thermal treatment prior to anodic oxidation thereof. The capacitance of the foil is measured with respect to a platinum-coated silver cathode in the electrolyte in which forming was carried out.
