Abstract

A curtain rail 1 is suspended from a fixed anchor rail 5 by lifting cords 2 passed over pulleys 3 and guide rollers 4. In its raised position the curtain rail 1 bears on the anchor rail 5 with pins 6 engaged in locking means 7 releasable by operation of a cord 11. The curtain rail may have one or two tracks and in the raised position may be concealed behind a depending front wall (8, Fig. 3) of the anchor rail 5. In another embodiment (Figs 4-8), a suspended rail portion 1 is longitudinally aligned with a fixed curtain rail section (12) in its raised condition.
