Abstract
"Method for recovering a source of SH radicals", the product of a reaction operation carried out in the presence of SH radicals as a catalyst and an inert diluent, and recirculation of the sulfur and diluent containing material to said reaction operation, which method comprises contacting said reaction product with aqueous ammoniacal solution, whereby most of the sulfur-containing material is absorbed by said aqueous solution, separation and distillation of the sulfur-rich aqueous solution with the diluent that functions as a volatile inert distiller, to form a mixture of vapors containing the source of SH radicals together with diluent and ammonia, and the passage of said mixture of vapors to said reaction operation.
