a laminated layer (30) having on its rear surface an adhesive (31) attached to and covering the front sheet, the laminated layer (30) having an extended part (33) protruding from the front sheet in the longitudinal direction moving away from said second transverse edge (20) to a free edge (36), characterized in that the extended part (33) of the laminated layer has a transverse line of weakness (35) which is adjacent to, but spaced from said second transverse edge (20) and which is separated from the free edge of the laminated layer by a longitudinal distance of at least the length between the first and second transverse edges (19, 20).

A label as claimed in any of claims 1 to 8, wherein one or all of (i) the first transverse edge (19), (ii) the free edge (36) of the extended part (33) of the laminated layer, (iii) the second free edge (32) of the laminated layer, and (iv) the edge (23) of the extension (22) of the backsheet are substantially straight and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

A label as claimed in any of claims 1 to 9, wherein the second transverse edge (20) of the front sheet (18) of the booklet has a substantially straight portion perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and has a portion protruding tongue (41).

A label as claimed in any of claims 1 to 10, wherein the part of the laminated layer (30) between the second transverse edge (20) of the front sheet (18) of the booklet and the line of weakness (35), in use, constitutes a detachable and reattatable tab to allow access to the booklet.

A label as claimed in any of claims 1 to 11, wherein the booklet (17) is adhesively attached to the backsheet (15) or foldably connected to the backsheet (15), preferably in a position adjacent to the first transition edge (19) of the front sheet.

A label as claimed in any of claims 1 to 12, wherein the label (10) is releasably attached to a carrier strip by the adhesive (16) of the backsheet and the adhesive portion (31 ) of the laminated layer that is not fixed to the front sheet (18) and/or to the back sheet (15).
