Abstract

An accumulated energy mechanism comprising a frame, a free output shaft for the shot rotatably mounted on said frame, an articulated structure for moving said output shaft to a first angular position when the articulated structure is being extended, and a second, angular position when the articulated structure is folded, said articulated structure being connected between said output shaft and trigger interlock means which normally interlock said articulated structure in an extendable or extended position, and operable to allow folding thereof, a spring of closure operatively connected to a crankshaft so as to be loaded when the crankshaft is rotated, locking means of the closure which normally prevent the discharge of the loaded closing spring and releasers to allow discharge, thereof, and cam means actuated by the action of the closing spring, when it is discharged, to return the structure a hinged to its extended position, said articulated structure being, when moved from its fully folded position, under a tension that causes it to fold when said trigger interlock means are released, independently of the actuation of said cam means.
